Start with the day-to-day
The strongest short list begins with how you want an ordinary Tuesday to feel—not a clubhouse checklist. Think about the routines, connections, conveniences, and quiet that will make the next chapter work.
Find your fit
Search by community, city, or a detail that matters. Then narrow by construction status and side of the Triangle.
Three representative one-page guides show how the full community library will grow: one new-construction option, one established 55+ community, and one active-adult alternative.
Verified milestones are dated snapshots. Availability, completion timing, incentives and home counts can change between reviews.

The comparison that matters
Main-level living, guest space, storage, outdoor maintenance, and the upgrades you will actually use.
HOA dues, included services, amenity access, clubs, social cadence, and everyday convenience.
Health care, family, travel, shopping, greenways, dining, and the parts of the Triangle that feel like home.
Age restrictions, occupancy rules, resale demand, future phases, and the flexibility to adapt over time.
Know the difference
Some communities are legally age-qualified under federal housing rules. Others are age-targeted through design, lifestyle, or marketing but may not have the same occupancy restrictions. The recorded declarations and current HOA documents—not the brochure—control.

A steadier process
